Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced IT specialist to join a professional team managing state-of-the-art server and storage solutions that form the reliable backbone for university operations in research, teaching, and administration. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the setup, maintenance, and ongoing development of the High Performance Computing (HPC) landscape, including integrating modern cloud technologies. Daily tasks involve monitoring systems, generating documentation, evaluating and implementing new IT infrastructure services, and providing expert technical consultation for digital transformation projects. Collaboration with researchers and scientists regarding HPC requirements is a core component. Key qualifications include a relevant IT education or substantial professional experience, expert knowledge in HPC system administration, and professional proficiency in German (C1) and English (B2) for reading technical literature.
