Job Summary

This role is an excellent opportunity for a versatile Development Engineer to join SCHLEIFRING, a leader in innovative transmission technologies for sectors like medical, wind energy, and defense. As part of the FPGA development team, you will be responsible for implementing complex FPGA designs, primarily utilizing AMD/Xilinx FPGAs, focusing on data-streaming with Gigabit Transceivers and Embedded Cores. A core function involves the continuous maintenance and evolution of the existing VHDL code base to ensure long-term stability and scalability. You will also develop and maintain Python drivers crucial for communication and control of the FPGA designs, alongside rigorous testing and debugging to guarantee performance. Key requirements include a completed degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, knowledge of VHDL, and professional experience with embedded systems and C/C++ embedded software development. Fluent proficiency in both German and English is mandatory for effective collaboration, especially with the Hardware Development department to ensure seamless system integration.
