Job Summary

This role involves acting as the certified Railway Construction Supervisor (KIB) for sophisticated structural engineering projects across the Hesse region, focusing heavily on railway infrastructure such as bridges and tunnels. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the entire construction process, coordinating all involved parties—including contractors, engineering firms, and the railway operator (DB InfraGO)—and ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, costs, and deadlines. A key task is scheduling and coordinating necessary track closures (Sperrpausen) which requires flexibility for night and weekend work. Candidates must possess a degree in Civil Engineering and either hold the KIB certification or be committed to acquiring it through a fully financed, 60-day functional training program provided by Hessen Mobil. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Civil Engineering (Bachelor/Diploma FH) or comparable qualification. Completed "Railway Construction Supervisor – KIB" certification OR willingness to complete the required functional training.

Experience

  • Professional experience in coordinating construction projects
  • Ideally 2 years of professional experience in structural engineering
  • Experience in monitoring and ensuring technically compliant construction execution
  • Experience coordinating track closures and securing construction sites

  • Mandatory Class B driver's license. High willingness to travel. Willingness to work nights and weekends, especially during construction phases requiring track closures. Position is fillable throughout the Hesse region.
