Job Summary

This role seeks a (Senior) Specialist Engineer to lead Resource and Waste Management efforts for DB InfraGO AG's extensive infrastructure projects in Karlsruhe. The core responsibility involves ensuring comprehensive environmental management and legal compliance (national and EU environmental law) throughout the planning and execution phases of projects, ranging from track renewal to tunnel construction. Day-to-day tasks include providing technical support to project managers, reviewing detailed plans, specifications, and disposal concepts, and managing the legally required electronic documentation of waste disposal (eANV/ZEDAL). The specialist will play a crucial role in promoting material circularity, conducting internal training on legal requirements, and acting as the primary point of contact for waste and environmental authorities. Success requires a relevant university degree, professional experience in environmental protection within construction, strong assertiveness, and a commitment to sustainable infrastructure development.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (or technical college equivalent) in Environmental/Geo Sciences, Environmental Management, Spatial Planning, Geoecology, or comparable field.
