Job Summary

This role involves leading the equipment technology team for the major infrastructure project ABS Hannover – Berlin, focusing on the modernization and maintenance of the rail network. The Team Leader is responsible for the organizational, content-related, and cross-project coordination, planning, and realization of all equipment trades, including overhead contact lines, control and safety technology, telecommunications, and electrical power systems. Key responsibilities include creating design and approval plans, preparing tender documents, coordinating project stakeholders (planners, construction companies), and managing contractual settlements up to final invoicing. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and brings at least five years of professional experience in project management, planning, and execution of railway equipment trades. This long-term position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to one of Germany's largest engineering offices and play a crucial role in a foundational project for the General Refurbishment Lehrte – Berlin starting in 2027.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Communication Technology, or a comparable technical field

Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in project management, planning, and/or execution of railway equipment trades (LST, OLA, EEA, TK)
  • Comprehensive experience in the procedural handling of construction projects according to VV Bau STE, VV Bau, and VV IST
  • Experience with technical interoperability and EG certification procedures in trans-European rail traffic
