Job Summary

This role involves leading complex project teams within the Federal Construction division of the state-owned real estate company (BLB NRW), managing one of Europe's largest and most demanding property portfolios. The Project Leader will be responsible for the technical management of interdisciplinary teams (including civil engineering, structural engineering, and electrical engineering), defining project goals, and ensuring successful realization concerning costs, deadlines, and quality. Key responsibilities include coordinating with external architectural and specialist planning offices, managing planning, procurement, and billing of construction services, and conducting necessary coordination with federal clients. Candidates must have a relevant degree in Architecture or Engineering, multi-year professional experience, and strong knowledge of relevant legal regulations (HOAI, VOB). The position offers flexibility, up to 60% mobile work, and participation in achieving a climate-neutral federal administration by 2045.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor/Diploma/Master) in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Facility Management, Building Services Engineering/HVAC, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field. Preferred: Subject-related additional qualification in Project Management (DVP or similar).

Experience

  • Multi-year relevant professional experience, preferably in 'Building in existing structures' (Bauen im Bestand)
  • Professional experience in steering the collaboration of various participants
  • Experience in applying relevant legal regulations (HOAI, VOB)
