Job Summary

This role involves working as an Electrical Engineering expert within an interdisciplinary project team focused on federal construction projects in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany. The specialist will contribute to highly modern, unique construction projects, including military facilities, police buildings, educational institutions, and administrative centers, supporting the goal of achieving climate-neutral federal administration by 2045. Day-to-day tasks include providing electrical engineering expertise, participating in feasibility studies, developing construction documents, and contributing to the planning, procurement, management, and billing of construction services. A key responsibility is managing and ensuring the quality and performance of external engineering firms and contractors. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, possesses multi-year professional experience in planning high-rise electrical systems, and is proficient in relevant German legal regulations (HOAI, VOB). The position offers flexibility, mobile working options (up to 60%), and long-term job security within one of Europe's largest public real estate portfolios.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Diploma/Master/Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Building Technology, or a comparable field; OR State Certified Technician/Master qualification in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Multi-year professional experience in the planning and realization of electrical systems in high-rise construction projects (as a planning engineer or client representative)
  • Professional experience in activities of an engineering nature (required if applying with a Technician/Master qualification)
  • Six years of relevant professional experience (required for applicants with State Certified Technician/Master qualification)
