The Optical Systems Designer will be responsible for developing optics designs, including tolerance analysis and consideration of manufacturing requirements. Key tasks include simulating and defining beam paths through optical element specification, analyzing concepts for cost-effectiveness, and collaborating closely on prototype development with mechanical and electronics engineering teams. Candidates should possess a degree in Physics, Physical Engineering, Microsystems Technology, or Mathematics, coupled with initial professional or practical experience in optical system development and proficiency in optical simulation software like Zemax, Code V, OSLO, or MATLAB.
