Job Summary

This crucial role involves planning and executing the expansion of high and medium voltage electrical infrastructure (5 kV to 110 kV) to support the green transformation of Germany’s largest steel manufacturer. The Electrical Power Systems Engineer is responsible for the full project lifecycle, including planning cable connections, overhead lines, and substations based on complex network simulations. Key daily activities include creating detailed tender documents, managing project timelines, and coordinating grid expansion plans directly with transmission system operators (TSOs) and regulatory authorities. You will also lead construction site meetings with external partner firms and document all results. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems and must be proficient in network simulation programs, ideally NEPLAN. This position offers the opportunity to actively shape the technological shift toward climate-neutral steel production while contributing to the development of maintenance strategies and workplace safety.
