Job Summary

This Electrical Power Engineering and Grid Operations Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining and modernizing the high-voltage electrical infrastructure (up to 110 kV) for Germany's largest steel producer. Key responsibilities include managing the daily operations of grid assets, encompassing fault clearance, switching, and routine maintenance of substations, large transformers, and high-voltage lines. The role requires developing future-oriented maintenance strategies and overseeing the modernization of large electrical drives up to 50 MW. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Engineering and demonstrate profound knowledge in transformer condition assessment and high-voltage testing techniques. Proficiency in network simulation programs, ideally NEPLAN, is required. This position offers the opportunity to actively shape the green transformation of the steel industry, contributing expertise to critical infrastructure development and network expansion strategies.
