Job Summary

This role provides a Graduate Engineer the opportunity to join a long-term, innovative project focused on electrical power systems analysis for Siemens Energy. The core responsibilities include taking leadership for performance and project execution of studies related to network planning, development, and the analysis of complex electrical energy systems. Day-to-day tasks involve simulating electrical systems, modeling network components, and actively integrating power electronic devices, renewable generation, and storage units into AC networks through feasibility and concept studies. The engineer will coordinate closely with engineers across various technical groups and virtual teams in a multicultural setting, while also supporting business acquisition and sales activities. Key requirements include a completed degree in Electrical or Energy Technology, foundational knowledge of energy system simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory), and fluency in both German and English.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Power Electronics, or comparable field

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and analysis of electrical power systems
  • Experience handling Medium and High Voltage (HVDC) and/or FACTS systems
  • Experience working with transformers, network generators, and converters
