Job Summary

This role involves supporting the planning department in executing future-oriented infrastructure projects, focusing specifically on highway expansion (6- to 8-lane), interchange planning, rest stops, and supporting bridge replacement measures from concept through realization. Day-to-day tasks include developing draft, approval, and execution plans for highway expansion and modification projects within the North Bavaria region. The engineer will coordinate plans with specialized departments (e.g., environmental planning, procurement) and negotiate with public stakeholders like municipalities, citizen initiatives, and water management authorities. The position also requires assisting in preparing tender documents, coordinating planning services provided by external engineering firms, and participating in contract management. Ideal candidates possess a university degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional experience, excellent German language skills (C1 level), and a proactive, reliable, and team-oriented approach.
