Job Summary

This senior leadership role involves directing, steering, and coordinating the Office for Civil Engineering, Road Construction, and Green Spaces for the city of Frankfurt (Oder). The Director is responsible for overseeing the performance of seven subordinate departments, including Forestry, Road Maintenance, Green Spaces, and the Construction Yard. Day-to-day responsibilities include representing the office in municipal political bodies and before state authorities, implementing strategic goals set by the Directorate, and defining period-specific product planning. A core focus is organizational management, including defining and monitoring technical standards, driving quality and economic efficiency improvements, and managing comprehensive personnel functions (selection, development, and performance reviews). Candidates must hold a scientific university degree, preferably in Civil Engineering or Landscape Management, along with the requisite abilities for the higher technical or non-technical administrative service. High creativity, decisiveness, and above-average commitment are essential for success in this permanent, full-time public sector position.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree, preferably in Civil Engineering (e.g., Subsurface Construction, Road Construction, Hydraulic Engineering, Structural Engineering) or Landscape Management. Qualification for the higher technical or non-technical administrative service, or comparable abilities and knowledge.
