Job Summary

This senior leadership role involves heading the Online Agency within the German Pension Insurance (Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund), a key division responsible for digitalizing core services for 23.3 million private customers. The Director will provide strategic, disciplinary, and organizational leadership for a team of approximately 50 employees, focusing on developing and implementing a holistic strategy for integrated, state-of-the-art eGovernment offerings. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and monitoring development progress using agile methods (Scrum, Kanban), ensuring compliance with e-Government laws, and actively driving the establishment of user-friendly services like the Online Pension Application. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a scientific university degree, extensive management experience in software development, and proven success in creating digital customer portals. They must possess deep knowledge of modern web technologies, agile methodologies, IT project management, and critical areas like data protection and IT security, combining technical expertise with a strong vision for digital public services.
