Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated professional to manage and optimize waste disposal processes within a federal agency in Berlin. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire disposal process, operating large shredder and container storage facilities, and advising internal and external stakeholders on waste management best practices. A key part of the role involves strategic development of circular economy and waste management initiatives, including exploring and implementing alternative disposal strategies for new material types and optimizing routine processes. Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician in Waste Technology (or expected within 12 months)

Experience

German (Fluent)

  • Must be a German citizen; Willingness to undergo an extended security clearance (Ü3); Possession of a Class B driving license; Possession of a forklift license; Willingness to wear service and protective clothing; Desirable: In-depth knowledge of Classified Information Instructions, Circular Economy and Waste Laws, Accident Prevention Regulations, Dangerous Goods Ordinance, Environmental Protection Regulations; Desirable: ADR Certificate (for transport of dangerous goods); Desirable: "Waste Management Officer" certification.
