Job Summary

This temporary academic position (initially 3 years, extendable) at the Institute for Foreign and International Private and Commercial Law at Heidelberg University involves significant teaching and research duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 4 weekly semester hours (SWS) and is expected to actively pursue publication and lecturing activities, particularly focusing on completing a Habilitation (post-doctoral qualification). Daily tasks include supporting the Chair holder in research and teaching, and actively participating in cross-border research projects. Candidates must possess a qualified doctorate, good foreign language skills, and demonstrable research experience in areas such as Civil Law, International Private and Procedural Law, and Comparative Law.
