Job Summary
The System Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, continuous operation of the company's system environment, working closely with internal developers and external partners. Key duties include continuous expansion and monitoring of IT services, active participation in large-scale corporate projects, and taking ownership of Incident and Problem Management processes. You will serve as the crucial interface between application owners and the internal development department, providing expert advice on IT infrastructure, architecture, and security. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in Linux environments, containerization technologies like OpenShift (Docker/Podman), and automation tools such as Ansible. This role requires maintaining up-to-date system documentation and familiarity with both Microsoft environments (M365, Azure, Windows Server) and version control using GIT.
Required Skills
Education
Completed IT education (Informatikausbildung)
Experience
- Completed professional IT education or several years of relevant professional experience in informatics
- In-depth knowledge of Linux environments, OpenShift, Ansible, and scripting
- Familiarity with network technologies, virtualization, and backup/storage solutions (VEEAM)
- Experience with Microsoft environments and GIT source code management

- Full-time (100% workload) with possibility for Home Office. Based in the Bern region.
