Job Summary
This permanent, full-time position as a Water Management and Drainage Engineer supports the municipal utility services of Unna, focusing on the maintenance and expansion of the city's extensive 300 km sewer network. The core responsibilities involve the technical processing and approval of private and commercial drainage applications. This includes conducting local acceptance and control inspections of new house and property connections to the public sewer system. The role requires providing expert consultation to property owners, architects, and planners on drainage development and preparing detailed technical drainage statements. Candidates must possess a completed university degree in Civil Engineering, preferably specializing in Urban Water Management, coupled with excellent communication, teamwork, and strong IT skills. Fluency in written and spoken German (C1 level) is mandatory. This role offers a secure public sector environment and the chance to contribute directly to essential urban infrastructure management.
