Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position as a Civil Engineer specializing in Urban Water Management involves crucial responsibilities within the municipal utilities of Unna. The role centers on the planning, construction, and rehabilitation of the city's extensive wastewater infrastructure, including a 300 km sewer network and specialized structures. Day-to-day tasks include creating and evaluating tenders according to VOB, managing and coordinating external engineering services, and acting as the client representative during construction supervision and project steering across all phases. A key focus area is conducting sewer condition assessments and developing concepts for rehabilitation measures. Candidates must hold a relevant degree (Bachelor/Dipl.-Ing.) in Urban Water Management or Civil Engineering, possess experience working with specialized firms and consultants, and demonstrate deep technical knowledge, particularly in sewer rehabilitation. Strong communication, teamwork skills, and fluent German (C1 minimum) are essential for success in this demanding public service role.
