Job Summary

This role is for a Technical Laboratory Assistant supporting the Operational Chemistry department at the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Research Neutron Source (FRM II) in Garching. The successful candidate will be responsible for the crucial tasks of sample collection, preparation, and analysis of chemical parameters and activity levels in the facility's operating waters. Day-to-day duties include performing measurements for the environmental monitoring program, meticulous documentation of results, and ensuring strict adherence to regulatory limit values. Candidates must possess a completed technical assistant qualification (CTA, MTLA, BTA) and ideally bring professional experience in a laboratory setting, coupled with strong knowledge of water chemistry and analytical chemistry. Since collaboration across departments is essential, very good German language skills (minimum B2 level) are required.
