This role as a Signaling and Safety Technology Testing Assistant in Cologne involves actively supporting expert inspectors during the acceptance testing of railway Control and Safety Technology (LST) systems within maintenance operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing practical work on complex rail systems, collaborating on cross-disciplinary activities, and conducting rigorous quality controls of relevant documentation. A key responsibility is verifying that installed LST components align precisely with planning specifications and regulatory approvals. The successful candidate will also be responsible for drafting detailed test reports and expert opinions. Required qualifications include a degree as a State-Certified Technician or Master in Electrical Engineering, or a completed electrical trade apprenticeship (e.g., Electrician), combined with functional training as a Switch or Signal Mechanic. Required Skills
