Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Renewable Energy Engineer to join the Pioneer City Salzburg project team, playing a crucial part in developing and implementing the city's ambitious Climate Neutrality Master Plan by 2040. Day-to-day responsibilities involve defining reduction pathways, evaluating building energy efficiency (building envelopes), and coordinating concepts for e-charging infrastructure and energy supply for municipal buildings. The engineer will also be responsible for structuring complex energy themes, such as climate-neutral neighborhood development, and assisting with the balancing of energy flows and greenhouse gas emissions. Candidates must possess a minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in Energy Economics, coupled with flexible, creative, and solution-oriented thinking. The ability to translate complex technical content into structured strategies for political, administrative, and public audiences is essential.
