Job Summary

The Electrical Engineering Estimator is responsible for managing the cost calculation and bid preparation process for complex electrical engineering construction projects within the DB Bahnbau Gruppe. Day-to-day duties involve meticulously reviewing tender documents, calculating costs, and coordinating the entire bid submission process with various internal and external stakeholders, including site managers and other technical departments. A key function of the role is the proactive assessment of potential commercial risks and opportunities during the bidding phase, as well as the independent formulation of supplementary offers and potential amendment claims based on tender specifications. The ideal candidate holds a degree or equivalent master qualification in Electrical Engineering and possesses extensive specialized knowledge in cost estimation, coupled with strong negotiation, communication, and teamwork abilities. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the modernization and maintenance of Germany's critical rail infrastructure.
