Job Summary

This role involves working as a Research Associate within the Digitalization of Battery Cell Manufacturing department, focusing on establishing and researching the digital infrastructure necessary for modern battery production. The core responsibility is connecting data sources, such as production machinery and sensors, with high-level systems like IIoT platforms and digital applications. Day-to-day tasks include developing infrastructure services, creating innovative scientific methods for scaling digitized production processes, and collaborating with internal and external partners to build digital twins for battery cell manufacturing. A key component of the role is the acquisition, coordination, and execution of national and international industrial and research projects, supporting the development of scalable battery cell production for Germany and Europe. The ideal candidate holds a scientific university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a MINT field, possesses initial experience with machine interfaces (OPC UA, REST), and has strong communication and analytical skills.
