Job Summary
This role involves working within the 'Digitalization of Battery Cell Manufacturing' division, focusing on leveraging Data Science to optimize the entire battery cell production process, from raw materials to the finished product. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying high-potential data-driven use cases, developing robust data pre-processing pipelines, and designing and implementing advanced Machine Learning and AI models for production-near deployment. The scientist will also be responsible for developing methodological approaches for process analysis and improvement, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams. Key qualifications include a Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related MINT field, coupled with initial practical experience in Data Science, ideally within battery technology. Candidates must be proficient in database management (SQL/NoSQL) and possess very strong analytical and communication skills. This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute to a lighthouse project critical for the future of economic and ecological battery production in Europe, with the added benefit of flexible working conditions and the potential for pursuing a PhD.
Required Skills
Education
Scientific University Degree (Diploma or Master) in Engineering, (Business) Informatics, a MINT field, or a comparable study program.
Experience
- Initial practical experience in Data Science
- Experience implementing Data Science use cases, ideally in the context of battery technology
- Familiarity with database management systems (SQL, NoSQL)
- Experience in the acquisition, coordination, and processing of national and international industry and research projects
