Research Associate | wiss. Mitarbeiterin bzw. Mitarbeiter (m/w/d)
Technische Universität Dresden Arbeitsstätte Dresden
Job Summary
This position at the Technical University of Dresden focuses on advanced scientific research within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The primary responsibility involves the electrochemical investigation of corrosion phenomena on laser-processed metallic surfaces, particularly steels. Day-to-day tasks include generating laser-based microstructures on steel surfaces and evaluating resulting changes in corrosion properties using electrochemical characterization techniques, such as Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing suitable experimental setups for material processing and characterization, ensuring the process is monitored using appropriate sensor technology and state data is recorded. The role requires close collaboration with both external research institutions and industrial partners. Key prerequisites include a relevant scientific university degree, proven experience in electrochemistry, materials science, and project coordination. This is a 36-month fixed-term contract offering a valuable opportunity for further scientific qualification, typically leading to a PhD.
