This Junior Software Engineer role focuses on developing and integrating complex simulation models representing aircraft equipment, primarily for the Eurofighter program at Airbus Defence and Space. Daily responsibilities include using C++ and Ada to build simulation models, creating specialized tools for stimulating simulators, and performing rigorous unit and integration testing. The engineer will also contribute to improving development processes by creating code generators and integrating models into the overall aircraft simulation environment. Key requirements include a completed degree in Computer Science or Aerospace Engineering and mandatory professional experience in software design, testing, and integration. Technical proficiency is required in C/C++, Python scripting, Linux environments (Debian, RHEL), and DevOps tools like Git and Jenkins. The position offers a permanent contract, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work on highly innovative defense projects, requiring fluency in English and a willingness to travel within the EU annually.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification.

Experience

  • Mandatory experience in software design and testing
  • Mandatory experience in unit, system testing, and software integration
  • Desired experience handling Agile Development Methodologies
  • Previous experience with the Eurofighter aircraft (advantageous)
