Job Summary

This role as an (Associate) ABAP Developer focuses on shaping the future of enterprise data exchange within SAP's Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). The core responsibility involves working as a framework developer to build and enhance the central OData (Open Data Protocol) provisioning layer on the ABAP platform, specifically focusing on the OData v4 stack. You will design and implement critical functionality that powers SAP's cloud APIs, influencing how millions of users interact with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori applications. A key innovative aspect of this position is advancing SAP's Agentic AI capabilities by implementing support for the open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP). Candidates must possess a good to excellent degree in Computer Science or a related field, coupled with strong programming skills in ABAP or another object-oriented language. Fluency in both German and English, along with strong analytical and collaboration skills, are essential for success in this challenging and impactful role.
