Job Summary

This Materials Engineer role at Heckler & Koch, a leading global manufacturer of small arms, focuses on developing and maintaining robust quality concepts within the materials technology domain for both new and existing products. The successful candidate will serve as the central expert for materials testing procedures, coordinating TPM activities, maintenance, and calibration of testing machinery. Day-to-day tasks involve creating and updating material testing reports, managing material-related purchase orders, and driving the continuous improvement of quality processes, methods, and procedures within materials technology. Key qualifications include a technical university degree, ideally in Materials Science or Metallurgy, proficiency with CAQ and ERP systems (SAP preferred), and a strong hands-on mentality. Initial professional experience in comparable roles and practical knowledge of destructive and non-destructive materials testing are advantageous, ensuring quality and goal-oriented execution of tasks.
