Job Summary

This role involves safeguarding the IT infrastructure of the Saarland State Administration by serving as an engaged IT Security Specialist within the IT Service Center. Day-to-day responsibilities include the coordination of activities related to CERT (Computer Emergency Response Team) and SOC (Security Operations Center), analyzing cyberattacks and intrusion attempts on the IT infrastructure, and deriving and coordinating effective countermeasures. The specialist will also be responsible for assessing IT vulnerabilities, consolidating security warnings, and developing and documenting security concepts based on the IT-Grundschutz Compendium. A key focus is the continuous development and coordination of the overall IT security process and incident response. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity and deep technical knowledge of IT system architectures, operating systems, network technologies, and security components like firewalls and threat detection tools.
