Job Summary

This Technical Specialist role, based in Straubing, supports key research aimed at developing an environmentally friendly, biodegradable foam to protect fruit trees and grapevines from late frost. Daily tasks involve preparing material samples of the foam in a laboratory setting, conducting rigorous testing of its physical properties, and analyzing its biological degradability. The specialist will also execute practical material tests under field-like conditions and provide essential support for data documentation and evaluation. This position requires a completed vocational training or a Bachelor's degree focused on Chemistry, Horticulture, or Environmental Science, coupled with professional experience in laboratory work and ideally in fruit and wine cultivation. The successful candidate must demonstrate methodical thinking, reliability, and strong organizational skills. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to future-oriented agricultural technology within a motivated research team, offering flexible working hours (full-time or 60% part-time). The position is temporary, running from January 1, 2026, until December 31, 2027.
