Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced PLC Programmer, Automation Technician, or Control Engineering Programmer to join a client in Winterbach on a permanent basis. The core responsibilities involve the full lifecycle of automation systems, including the development, adaptation, and optimization of PLC programs, specifically utilizing tools like Simatic S7 and TIA Portal (KOP and SCL). A significant part of the job includes commissioning and testing machinery, both in-house and directly at customer sites, alongside performing critical fault analysis and troubleshooting during live operations. Candidates must also create comprehensive technical documentation and operating instructions, and collaborate closely with design and electrical engineering teams. The ideal candidate holds a degree or qualification in Electrical or Automation Technology and possesses several years of relevant programming experience, preferably with Siemens S7/TIA Portal.
