Job Summary

This critical role involves advanced modeling and simulation of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems for Siemens Energy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed models of HVDC plants and their control mechanisms, primarily utilizing industry-standard software such as MATLAB/Simulink and PSCAD/EMTDC. A core task is the integration and testing of sophisticated voltage-forming control concepts, including direct voltage control and Grid-Forming technologies. Key qualifications include a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical or Control Technology, coupled with mandatory expertise in power electronics and converter modeling. Knowledge of grid calculation for power supply networks, including stability analyses, is highly beneficial.
