Job Summary

This role seeks an enthusiastic Doctoral Researcher to join the Integrated Cancer Research Laboratory at the CECAD Research Center in Cologne. The focus of the position is investigating the genetic background and evolution of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) using large, well-annotated patient cohorts. Day-to-day tasks involve applying advanced molecular techniques, specifically bulk and single-cell approaches like whole-genome sequencing and single-cell RNA sequencing, to analyze disease genetics over time and correlate findings with clinical outcomes. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in bioinformatics or a related field and possesses proficiency in R or Python, along with a strong interest in cancer genetics and clinical data integration.
