The successful candidate will perform a variety of cell, biochemical, and molecular biology tasks, including cell culture, protein expression, and plasmid/protein purification. Key responsibilities also involve conducting surgical procedures and behavioral studies on rodents, preparing tissue samples, and performing immunohistochemical staining and Western Blots. This position requires a strong background in biological laboratory techniques, experience with animal models, and meticulous documentation skills. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological-Technical Assistant (BTA) or comparable technical assistant, or Biology Laboratory Technician; alternatively, a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biology or other Life Sciences; FELASA certificate required.

Experience

  • Professional experience in cell biological, biochemical, and molecular biological work
  • Experience in assisting and performing surgical procedures and behavioral tests on rodents
  • Experience in tissue and biopsy collection
  • Experience in histology and microscopy, including tissue sectioning and immunohistochemical staining
  • Experience in biochemical techniques (e.g., Western Blot, SDS-PAGE)
  • Experience in molecular biological techniques (e.g., PCR)
