Job Summary

The Hanseatic and University City of Rostock is seeking two Project Planners for Property Management. In this role, you will lead and manage various projects related to property administration, including new construction and renovation initiatives. Key responsibilities involve analyzing existing properties, identifying and prioritizing necessary technical and structural measures, and developing project specifications. You will also be responsible for evaluating performance, timelines, and cost planning, as well as ensuring comprehensive reporting and documentation. Additionally, the role includes coordinating activities, reviewing invoices, and conducting cross-property inventory analyses, including initiating and evaluating rental options. This position requires strong project management skills, a solid understanding of relevant legal frameworks, and excellent communication abilities. The roles are full-time and initially temporary, covering maternity and parental leave periods until July 2026.

Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences degree (FH-Abschluss) in Facility Management, Real Estate Management, Public Administration (Dipl.-Verwaltungswirt/in (FH) or Bachelor Public Administration), or a comparable FH degree in Administrative/Legal Sciences/Public Law, or Business/Real Estate Economics; or a comparable further training at DQR Level 6 (e.g., Verwaltungsfachwirt/-in or Geprüfte/-r Wirtschaftsfachwirt/-in)

Experience

  • Proven and applicable experience in project management
  • Professional experience in property management and related administrative tasks

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Temporary positions covering maternity and parental leave, expected until July 2026. One position is full-time (39 hours/week) until July 2026, and the other until July 18, 2026 (39 hours/week until April 18, 2026, then 25 hours/week until July 18, 2026). Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements (TVöD), data protection law, civil code (BGB), personnel representation law (PersVG), workplace ordinance, accident prevention regulations (UVV according to DGUV), occupational safety law, and display screen equipment ordinance is desirable. Knowledge of municipal constitution M-V and property maintenance and construction measures is desirable.
