Job Summary

This role offers an opportunity to join the Cell Banking & Analytics department at Roche Diagnostics GmbH in Penzberg, focusing on the technical pharmaceutical development (PTD). The specialist will be crucial in ensuring the reliable supply of active ingredients for clinical trials and market production by manufacturing cell banks under strict GMP conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include the operative production of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell banks and starter cultures in cleanrooms, involving cultivation in shake flasks and up to 20L fermentation scale, harvesting, filling, and freezing cells. The role also requires preparing and filling cell culture media up to 500 liters, performing GMP-compliant documentation (including electronic systems), maintaining equipment, and supporting quality assurance tasks such as deviation management and qualification of devices. Candidates should possess a scientific education (e.g., BTA, CTA, MTA equivalent) and professional experience in a laboratory or production environment, ideally with established knowledge of sterile cell culture work and GMP regulations.
