Job Summary

This fixed-term role (covering parental leave until Feb 2027) as a Biological Laboratory Technician in Luisenthal offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute directly to environmental quality and public health within the GWA, part of the Stadtwerke Erfurt Group. The primary responsibilities involve conducting meticulous microbiological testing on water samples and performing hygiene tests for the medical sector. The technician will be responsible for meticulous documentation of quality assurance (AQS) measures, ensuring the quality of nutrient media and analytical processes, and maintaining sophisticated laboratory equipment. Candidates must possess completed vocational training as a Biological Laboratory Technician, Biological-Technical Assistant, or equivalent, coupled with specific knowledge of microbiological water analysis and proficiency in MS Office. The position requires flexibility to participate in early/late shifts (6:00 AM - 8:00 PM) and rotating weekend duty (approx. every 6-8 weeks).
