Job Summary

This role involves critical network and system control for an IT financial service provider, focusing heavily on mainframe operations and infrastructure monitoring within a 3-shift environment. The specialist will be responsible for the monitoring and control of z/OS and other infrastructure systems (SAN, Tape, Storage) using central tools like z/OS System Automation, Mainview, and Splunk. Key daily tasks include independent incident processing based on ITIL standards, executing critical actions such as IPLs and LPAR-Management, and coordinating with external vendors during disruptions. The ideal candidate must possess a completed IT education or equivalent professional experience, strong knowledge of z/OS, JES2, TSO/ISPF, and JCL, and a willingness to work in a 3-shift system.
