Job Summary

This senior leadership role requires a highly responsible and capable individual to serve as the Head of Department for Waste Fees. You will assume overall responsibility for the organization, calculation, assessment, and enforcement of waste fees, ensuring compliance with waste management statutes. A key aspect of the role involves implementing effective, citizen-friendly waste management policies and serving as the primary liaison between the department, political committees, and external partners (AVL GmbH). Furthermore, you will lead and manage a large team of approximately 40 employees, practicing a team-oriented leadership style, and overseeing the execution of complex, Europe-wide tenders. Success requires strong negotiation skills, cost awareness, and the ability to moderate diverse political and public interests.
