Job Summary

This dynamic role seeks a motivated Customer Support Engineer specializing in Telecommunications Switching Technology to join exciting projects with Airbus Secure Land Communications. The core responsibilities involve the operation and maintenance of digital switching systems, including fault analysis, resolution of issues related to voice switching and signaling, and configuring switching centers. You will also be responsible for deploying software upgrades and patches in both customer and test environments, and actively contributing to projects introducing new services and platforms within Tetra and digital radio networks. Success requires a background in Computer Science or equivalent, or extensive experience as an IT Systems Electrician, coupled with over three years of professional experience in IT/Information Systems. Crucial technical knowledge includes digital switching technology (ideally DXT systems) and strong mobile communication technologies. The position offers an unlimited contract and the opportunity to work closely with project teams and technical departments.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science or comparable technical qualification, or completed vocational training as an IT Systems Electrician combined with extensive professional experience.

Experience

  • Over three years of professional experience in IT/Information Systems
  • Extensive professional experience as an IT Systems Electrician (if applicable as alternative qualification)
  • Practical experience with digital switching technology, ideally DXT systems (Nokia)
