Job Summary

This role involves driving the agile transformation within IT, specifically focusing on modernizing Point-of-Sale (POS) systems within an agile framework (SAFe, Scrum). The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for leveraging orchestration solutions like Kubernetes for efficient container application management, scaling, and deployment. A core part of the job includes automating infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform or Ansible, and building robust CI/CD pipelines, ideally utilizing Gitlab. Day-to-day tasks also include ensuring adequate monitoring, system resilience, and compliance for POS applications, providing 3rd-level support for incidents, and consulting business units on POS systems. Key requirements include a degree in Computer Science or a related field, fundamental experience as a DevOps Engineer, deep Linux expertise, and experience with the GO programming language, all contributing to the development of a modern POS environment (e.g., ESL, SCO, mSCO).
