Job Summary

This specialist role focuses on the core responsibility of designing, operating, and continuously enhancing a central solution for the automated discovery and inventory of IT infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks involve integrating new technologies and organizational units into the existing Discovery solution collaboratively, coordinating data collection methods with responsible product teams, and developing customized Discovery Patterns tailored to specific system requirements. A critical part of the job is monitoring data flows between the Discovery solution and the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data quality and accuracy. The ideal candidate brings professional experience operating Discovery solutions (preferably BMC or ServiceNow Discovery), strong knowledge of CMDBs (ideally ServiceNow CMDB), and advanced scripting skills in Python or JavaScript, coupled with familiarity with REST APIs and version control systems.
