Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position as a Maintenance Team Leader in Hamburg involves leading a dedicated team responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of electric multiple units and critical components like bogies and wheelsets at the Ohlsdorf plant. The core mission is to ensure the operational safety, readiness, and traffic-worthiness of the rail fleet by adhering strictly to technical, economic, and regulatory maintenance guidelines. Key daily tasks include managing operational releases, overseeing general supervisory duties, and ensuring the precise, quality-controlled reprofiling of wheelsets using specialized equipment, such as the in-house underfloor wheelset lathe. Candidates must possess an IHK Master Craftsman certification in Electronics or be a State-certified Technician, coupled with at least two years of relevant maintenance experience. Initial experience in employee leadership, both technical and disciplinary, is essential, alongside expertise in creating and implementing risk assessments. This role is crucial for maintaining the quality and reliability of Germany's largest rail transport fleet, offering a long-term perspective within the Deutsche Bahn Group.
