Job Summary

This role involves driving innovation in chemical and energy applications by developing and optimizing processes and materials. The Chemist Process Engineering specialist will be responsible for maintaining and supervising components utilizing energetic materials, ensuring both safety and efficiency are paramount. Key day-to-day tasks include root cause analysis of failures, identifying suitable substitute materials to enhance existing systems, and conceptualizing new energetic systems. A major focus is building expertise in chemical and mechanical process engineering, providing technical support for complex problem analysis, and developing solutions for challenging chemical-process engineering questions. Candidates must possess a Master's degree (ideally PhD) in Chemistry or Chemical Process Engineering, coupled with substantial professional experience in chemical R&D, preferably within a safety-critical domain like defense technology. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.
