Job Summary

This role involves working as an Electrical Engineer specializing in Medical Technology, focusing heavily on regulatory compliance and hardware design within the medical device sector. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing and modifying existing medical devices to meet stringent standards like IEC 60601, ISO 14971, and the Medical Device Regulation (MDR). You will perform detailed Requirements Engineering, including the specification and verification of technical needs, and manage the replacement of outdated components while prioritizing safety-relevant aspects. A core technical task is the creation of schematics and layouts using Altium Designer, ensuring Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) compliant design. Collaboration with Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs is essential, alongside meticulous documentation according to quality management systems. The ideal candidate holds a technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Medical Technology, possesses crucial knowledge of MDR and safety-relevant electronics, and must have good German language skills (B2+) to succeed in this project-based environment.
