Job Summary

This Research Associate position involves managing and executing a federally funded, randomized controlled trial within the Institute for General Medicine at Philipps University Marburg. The core focus is investigating a structured foot muscle exercise program as an alternative treatment for foot pain. Day-to-day responsibilities include the development and refinement of study protocols, drafting ethics applications, designing study-specific procedures, and managing participant interaction. This involves conducting initial appointments, performing anamnesis interviews to check inclusion/exclusion criteria, obtaining informed consent, and collecting relevant parameters using questionnaires and a specialized foot measuring device. The successful candidate will work closely within an experienced, interdisciplinary team including biometricians and physiotherapists, and will be responsible for substantial scientific writing, culminating in publications. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in health sciences or medicine and demonstrate an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact health services research with the option to pursue a Ph.D.
