Job Summary

This role seeks a motivated Laboratory Scientist or Technician specializing in Molecular Biology and Serology to join a successful Contract Research Organization (CRO) in Wendelsheim (near Mainz/Alzey). The position is initially limited to two years. Day-to-day responsibilities are diverse and demanding, focusing heavily on laboratory procedures such as DNA/RNA purification, performing and evaluating PCR, qPCR, ELISA, and Indirect Immunofluorescence Assays (IFA). The successful candidate will manage the entire workflow from order acceptance and sample registration through to final report generation and release. They will also be involved in establishing new PCR approaches and occasionally handle customer consultations and support billing/quotation processes. Key requirements include a completed professional qualification (e.g., Laboratory Technician, MTA, BTA) or a university degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Biology or Biomedicine, coupled with initial professional experience. Proficiency in MS Office and good command of both German and English are essential, alongside a structured, reliable, and customer-oriented work ethic.
