Job Summary

The German Institutes for Textile and Fiber Research (DITF) are seeking a Chemical-Technical Assistant to join their team focusing on sustainable textile printing technologies, including Inkjet and 3D printing. This role involves the hands-on execution of technical experiments for research projects and industrial contracts. Key day-to-day tasks include milling pigments, formulating printing inks and pastes, and preparing finishing solutions for textile functionalization. The assistant will be responsible for comprehensive material characterization using advanced techniques like rheology, spectrophotometry (UV-Vis, NIR/IR), and particle size analysis. Furthermore, the role requires applying inks via screen printing and modern digital techniques, fixing prints using various methods (UV, NIR, steam), and documenting results primarily in German reports. Candidates must demonstrate high commitment, analytical skills, and proficiency in German and English.

Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA) qualification or equivalent

Experience
