Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Safety Management Officer in railway operations, actively contributing to the safety of large-scale rail infrastructure projects across Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing safety concepts for complex construction projects in railway traffic. Key duties include creating training materials and conducting safety-relevant content sessions, coordinating between project management, railway operations management, and the SPITZKE Academy for efficient knowledge transfer, and performing safety inspections on construction sites. Additionally, this position acts as the primary contact for disruptions, emergencies, and damage incidents, documenting causes, coordinating immediate measures, and preparing damage reports. Required Skills

Education

Completed technical training with additional qualification in railway operations (e.g., train driver, local operations manager, inspector, trainer in railway systems, dispatcher, or rail safety expert); ideally with knowledge of railway law and safety regulations.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in railway operations
  • In-depth knowledge of regulations and railway safety
